Collection: Wild Pacific Trail

Introducing my latest collection of artwork, inspired by the breathtaking Pacific Northwest coastal landscape and The Wild Pacific Trail.

Capturing the essence of this rugged and raw beauty, each piece in this collection is a visual tribute to the captivating energy of the coastline.

This body of work was influenced by the natural formations and groups of textures living by the ocean, their relationship with the unpredictable movement of water, and the natural evolution of form as they morph throughout the seasons and as time passes.

Rebecca wanted to capture the calming complexity of this environment on the canvas. She uses acrylic on raw canvas to capture the layers, depth, and flow of the ocean. The use of line and organic shape demonstrate the relationship between the controlled steadfast rock formations found by the ocean and the more fluid and everchanging natural forms and openings found within nature. The more organic natural apertures seen on the canvas are a depiction of how the volatile environment of the coastline can create and distort the shapes independent of human interaction.
