Collection: Natures Embrace

Nature is my muse. The temperate rainforests of the Pacific Northwest, the ocean and the sky wrap themselves around my daily rituals and life experiences and when I lean into the restorative embrace of these natural elements and spaces, deeply seeded emotions are drawn out whether they be calming or invigorating. In my most recent series, Nature’s Embrace, my focus has been to capture these emotions on canvas through the movement and layers found in nature. The embodiment of these feelings are also depicted though the subtle hints of human form and macro shapes that contour our bodies, envelop us and instil calm and curiosity. Each piece, with its own depth and complexity, conveys the layers that move and shift between the mountains, rivers and forests, their elaborate organic shapes and formations, as well as how these compliment the human form in its response to nature.
